I think the front end of the SE / Luxury looks a little more aggressive on the facelift model which is no bad thing. The whole facelift has been extremely subtle which makes sense, given how right they got it from the start. The headlight comparison in gar525i's post above is between pre-facelift xenon and post facelift LED.
Quick 12 minute video showing the differences between the BMW F30 & F31 Saloon and touring estate pre facelift vs Facelift version. I will go through all of the differences right here.
Whereas the post-facelift xenon looks fairly similar to a pre-facelift halogen. While the LED looks really good, of the xenons, I slightly prefer the pre-facelift.The new iDrive controller looks a lot better.Interesting to see that the 530d has improved its 0-62 from 6 to 5.8 secs in the facelift. The engine power and torque is unchanged so perhaps this is a gearbox modification? The difference between the 530d and 535d on this measure is now just half a second. You can see why they apparently give larger discounts on the 535d. Edited January 4, 2014 by HV4.

F07 Gran TurismoThe 5 Series Gran Turismo is a 5-door body style. It is longer and taller than the 5 Series sedan/Touring models, and has a rear door. The hatchback has a dual-access opening and the side windows are frameless.Although sold as part of the 5 Series range, is suggested that the Gran Turismo chassis has more in common with the and the is more similar to the 7 Series than the 5 Series. The additional length results in more legroom for rear passengers. In some markets (such as the Canada and the United States), the Gran Turismo was launched before sedan and Touring models of the F10/F11 generation.
Therefore, in these markets it was sold alongside the outgoing until the release of the F10/F11 models. The F07 535i GT was the first model to use the turbocharged straight-six engine, which replaced the N54. Long wheelbase sedan (F18) A (LWB) version of the BMW 5 Series Sedan was developed for the Chinese market, as a cheaper alternative to the 7 Series which is longer and wider. The wheelbase of the F18 is extended by 14 cm (5.5 in) over the standard 5 Series sedan. The LWB 5 Series was assembled at BMW Plant Shenyang in, plant for the Chinese market. InteriorThe F10 uses a more traditional BMW exterior styling approach compared with the controversial styling of its predecessor. The 'Bangle butt' is removed, a is present, a traditional kidney grill is used and crease lines are used on the (similar to the and earlier generations). Reviews of the styling have ranged from slightly bland, to handsome and muscular. The interior features an updated system and a 13 mm (0.5 in) increase in rear knee-room for rear passengers.
The F10 saw the return of the centre console being angled towards the driver, as used on the 5 Series from 1981 to 2003.
